Gleidy Perez and Mayra Cruz are all about “sharing the love” with others through beautiful and elegant floral arrangements. Appreciating how flowers bring people together and the joy they add to people’s lives, the two friends and businesswomen joined forces to open Rozella’s Flower Boutique in Danbury.
When Gleidy resided in the Dominican Republic, she honed her skills working in a flower shop where she learned all aspects of the industry. It was a labor of love for Gleidy who enjoyed being surrounded by nature’s beauty. Mayra also has experience in the floral business, creating artistic arrangements for all kinds of events and parties.
Established in 2022, the shop carries a variety of cut flowers, forever roses that last for three years, and competitively priced floral arrangements including custom-made designs as well as pre-made, grab-and-go for all occasions, including birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, funerals, home décor, and more.
A specialty item is its exquisite boxed bouquets. Mayra and Gleidy learned how to create these high- quality pieces, along with relevant business practices, at a floral program at Bloom and Box flower shop in Houston, Texas.
Also, the boutique carries specialty gifts and treats that include newborn clothes for new mothers and parents, a variety of toys and stuffed animals, chocolates, and perfumes that are perfect for gift-giving.
The shop prides itself on offering exceptional, hands-on customer service. Mayra and Gleidy learn about the recipient then work together to tailor the flowers to that person’s preferences. They value the opportunity to fulfill special requests and create perfect arrangements that meet every customer’s specification. They also offer free delivery anywhere in Danbury.
